A Queen Anne period public house

Pat welcomes you to the Pig and Abbot, a Queen Anne period public house, set in the magnificent surroundings of the Cambridgeshire countryside with easy access from Royston, Cambridge and the A1. The bar offers a selection of real ales, beer, wine, soft drinks and a warm pleasant atmosphere with roaring log fires and cosy surroundings. The Pig and Abbot is ideal for everything from a relaxing drink to a family meal.

Pat is proud to offer imaginative, freshly prepared food, whether it be a three course meal or a bar snack. The restaurant provides comfortable surroundings for a pleasant meal and may be booked for private parties or business meetings.

Food service

Diners at the Pig and Abbot can choose from a wide range of delicious homemade dishes. The main menu is served every day for lunch and dinner in the bar and the restaurant. For something a little different, why not select from our Daily Specials menu.

We can cater for parties in our restaurant for up to 40 people for a sit down meal and for up to 60 people at a buffet

Pig & Abbot Ales

The Pig and Abbot bar serves quality real ales and has been recognised in the Good Beer Guide since 2005. Adnams Bitter and London Pride are are served all year round and accompanied by a selection of guest ales on a cyclic basis.

Local Walks

Located in the beautiful Cambridgeshire countryside within the fertile valley known locally as “The Garden of Eden”, the Pig and Abbot is surrounded by footpaths through agricultural land and quiet country roads. Due to this idyllic location there are many walks available to patrons of the Pig and Abbot beginning and ending on the door to the pub.
